With more than 20 years of experience in the business sector, Amy Granberry is more than an established organizational developer and innovator; she’s a proven leader. After working as a corporate recruiter, Amy began at Charlie’s Place Recovery Center as the HR Manager in 1999, working her way up to Director of Organizational Development, then Chief Operating Officer before being appointed CEO of the organization in 2014.

She is a change-maker. In addition to securing over $20 million in funding for Charlie’s Place through grant writing and renewals, Amy has successfully carried 4 House bills through the state legislature through her work with the Association of Substance Abuse Programs, where she has served as the Legislative Director since 2012.

Locally, Amy dedicates countless hours to the community through her work with Homeless Issues Partnership, Nueces County Jail Division Task Force, as a Governor Appointee to both the Housing and Health Services Coordination Council and Specialty Courts Advisory Committee and, most recently, serving on the Leadership Corpus Christi Advisory Committee and as the VP of Legislative Affairs for the Coastal Bend Society for Human Resource Management. This is in addition to the miles of pavement she regularly gets in as a competitive runner and cycler.

Amy is a Corpus Christi 40 under 40 honoree, a Kiwanian of the Year award recipient, a Y Woman in Careers honoree, and, above all, an inspiration to those with whom she works with, never above.
