Patty Doty has been at Charlie’s Place for seaven years. “I volunteered and worked at the Women’s Shelter of South Texas as a residential and outreach Case Manager for five years before getting the opportunity to be here at Charlie’s. I began as Case Manager with the Supportive Outreach Services program when I started at Charlie’s in May of 2010 and I became Program Manager in June of 2012. I am now Program Manager of the Recovery Support Services program which is a program that began this year and provides Recovery Coaches to individuals who qualify for services. I love my job and the amazing individuals I work with. I am in recovery and have family members who have also suffered from the disease of addiction. My heart is in service work, and my passion is for helping others create a new way of living for themselves by means of long term recovery. I believe in compassion and tolerance, for everyone has battles they are fighting that we know nothing about. Be kind for kindness’ sake.”
